After buying the bike in non-running condition for half of trade-in value, i got it running for free and spent like $150 on various TLC parts(thanks for the cheese wedge, mcpdk9) like throttle cables and rear turn signals. Now it runs almost perfectly after a couple tanks of good gas and some BG.

I rode from selma to college station yesterday and decided I'm tall enough for the v-bars to be comfortable for me........ but these pipes...... god damn........ They have GOT to go. Even with a full-face helmet and foamy ear plugs, i couldn't hear a damn thing halfway into the ride. The first thing I'm doing to the bike after my car sells will be a thor pipe, lloydz torque tubes, and a PC3. I might get a windshield too, but other than that, it's staying like it is.

Thanks for the heads up on the exhaust. Figured those swept pipes would be required if I put Cross Country bags on my Kingpin.

I'm sure it's better with baffles, but I'm not sure if it'll still be too loud even with them.

Forget the noise, those won't fit the XC bags. You need something low and straight, since the bottom of the bags is straight. wac

Hell yea! It's a beast. Can't wait to see how it runs after the mods.

The style of pipes might work with a Kingpin and X bike bags but the Hammer pipes won't fit a KP or Vegas. Probably fit a Jackpot though. They accommodate the wider back tire.
