Pretty sure we have to get to winter first. Doesn't that start next week?
I can still want it to end already.
Not all of us are immune to winter. :)

The low was 15 degrees this morning and very little snow melted yesterday. The roads are nasty and slick, I guess they have sanded intersections I haven't been out to see. I have had enough winter and feel sorry for the people that live up North and have this kind of weather for months.
Short winter here thankfully.
Be back to riding in 8 weeks.

Snowing here now. Ground covered but it all melted on on contact with roads. Lot of salt everywhere now.

Supposed to get 3" so every road has already been sprayed with that salty brine stuff.

Just read something about trying to replicate fish natural antifreeze for road treatments instead of salt. Sounds fishy to me.

That was my thought as well but hey they can research it. I doubt traditional road treatment is going anywhere.

I highly recommend wintering in Florida. While the riding is not that good (most roads are straight or close to straight and level, at least I can ride most days in the winter.
So you can just set cruise and read a book. :)

Never thought about the water pipes being buried less deep in south. Thought code everywhere was around 4-6ft.

4F this morning, with 8 inches of snow forecast for tomorrow.
That would be impressive we have not seen snow like that here for close to a decade.

crazy times up here we don't have half of the snow we usually get....
Apparently you're exporting it this year.

We usually get about 8 inches total from November thru March in central Indiana. Northern Indiana gets a lot more but it's usually little to nothing here spread out enough to not be an issue.

I'll be working in the stuff.
Well below freezing so it won't be a wet snow. Probably just blow away to the grass and roads be fine. We will know soon enough.
