I'm 6' even. I installed it per the directions and the windshield sits 19" above the headlight. Sitting straight up on the bike I look just over it. If I slouch I'm looking through it. There is about 2" of adjustment on the forks if you want it higher or lower.
Ok, My vegas is blue and white, anyone know if the blue memphis fats will match decent, I mean the one that is blue on the bottom. And thanks guys for the replies. I am 6'3" so I will need a fairly tall one also.
This is what I am looking at. I kinda eyeballed the height with a tapemeasure while I was sitting on it, and it looks like I need a 21" which is the tallest one. But I am on my way out to put a 1.5" lowering kit in, so I may be able to go with the next one shorter, which I think is a 19".
Measurements from the top of the headlight cutout to the top of this one is 21", and I believe it says its 22" wide at the widest, with a 9" headlight cutout. If anyone has a windshield on their bike with measurements close to those, can I see some pics? please?
Sorry, more windshield questions. I stopped at my dealer tonight to get fitted. The guy there suggested a national cycles switchblade windshield, he said its lexan not acrylic so it will stand up better. My question, looking online and on ebay, it looks like the headlight cutout sits real high above the headlight, anyone have one on their bike? Anyone have any input between the 2 brands? The dealer wants just over $300 for the fats, and just over $400 for the national.
Here is my 08.
The next thing I am going to do is get some hard bags and have them painted with the theme of the bike.
It is a Vegas, but has an 8 Ball theme. If any one has good pictures of hard bags on a Vegas i would love to see them. Currently i am having a difficult time finding ones that match the shape of the fender.
Anyone ever tried mounting something like this to a vegas or kingpin? I know with enough modification and fab work bout anything is possible but jus wondering. Thinking I may attempt soon as I can find full saddle bags pretty cheap jus not for victory and swapping to a kingpin fender and xc bags...
I have a 2012 model standard Vegas, first registered in 2013, very low mileage and in exceptional condition. It`s my second Victory, the previous one being a Hammer. Frankly, I prefer the Vegas but I don`t much like the "bullet" headlight and would like to change it for the "bucket" type...
