So few of my friends get together every July for a few day ride and looking to go to Wisconsin. Any suggestions on great fun places to ride to and camp. We did the Dells last year. Thanks Les

Not Wisconsin, but in the NW corner of Illinois is Galena and its rife with history and neat places to eat. My avatar is a sign on a downtown cafe there. Yes, the owner is a Victory enthusiast. Some nice roads nearby.

Take the river road from Prairie Du Chien to Lacrosse (Hwy 35). If you want to detour a little, take any of the county roads that head off to the east up into the bluffs, then circle back down. Get a room in downtown Lacrosse; lots of great bars and restaurants within walking distance (it's a college town, and a fun one). In the morning, head north and find Hwy 108, through the Mindoro Cut. Stop at the Cut for pictures and read the plaque; they carved it out by hand in 1907. Have breakfast at the little bar in Mindoro then spend as much time as you'd like on any of the roads from there - they're all great - but watch out for deer.

I've made that trip a half-dozen times, and I can't wait to do it again.

yeah but I heard they are changing the name to Indian Trails...lol
And I heard the Victory Cafe is closing, but by law they have to provide raw bacon and pancake batter for 10 years. :)
