yesterday we were doing about 60 in od and glanced at my add
on vic tach. says 3500. shifted down and the tach stays about 1-1/2 the time of the digital that i switched over to.came to a stopping place
and shut everything off.on restart it. kept about 250rpm higher than
it should be. stopped to eat and it sat about 45 min. now all back to normal and parks at zero, never happened afterwards. just a glitch
or should i be reporting it to dealer? anyone have a similar happening?
thanks!--irv

I have not noticed anything like that. But if it does happen, how would I know?

talked to my vic tech.he said it might have been a software glitch.
i told him i had the battery unhooked about 3 weeks ago to put
star washers on. he told me star washers give up a lot of contact
area on the cable.dont laugh but he told me he has had the best
luck putting a flat washer between the post and cable, not
between the bolt and cable. i will probably take it apart later and use ss washers.he also said to only make contact putting the bolts in and
out once, not a bunch of repeat times .voltage spikes im guessing.--
