I bought a 2000 victory and the original owner told me it takes 7 quarts of oil. That sounds like too much to me but he explained it needs it due to the upgraded transmission. Is that possible? I'm hearing it is way too much oil and pistons will be floating in it.

Holds 6 quarts. Bbob has free manuals you can download, I only saw the parts manual for your bike, but the 3rd or 4th page had all the specs on it, and it showed 6 quarts

if you sing up on Vic web page you can view owners book at bottom of page.
When you check the oil it has to be straight up and down and screw the dip stick all the way in then out
