Gas light, doesn't that require a nice flourescing bag called a mantel over the gas pipe to get optimal light out of it? I remember even the old Coleman lamps had that bag tied over their gas generating tubes.

My light comes on after about 160 miles and it takes around 4.0 to 4.2 gallons to fill up. The manual says I have a 5.8 gallon tank, leaving me 1.8 to 1.6 gallons before I'm empty. I have never tried to run out of gas before I fill up though.

My light goes on right at 165, I have gone 20miles further but get to scared to go further. I start thinking about how much sitting in traffic I have done and get chicken to go further. I have never had it hit 5 gallons on a fill up yet. Maybe 4.5 give or take a little bit.

I’ve been riding a 99V 92C for so long that it was just habit for me to fill up when I left because it was all short runs, but I write it like it’s meant to be. I love it. Now I’m on a 2012 cross-country tour 600 miles on it and that question come up to me in my head. I push mine to 222 today took 5.2 gallons.
